In an effort to further educate our Guamanians of the reality of domestic violence, VARO Guam will be hosting a “Family Run or Walk Against Domestic Violence”. The event will be held throughout the month of October, which is also National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The event will NOT be In-Person, instead it will be done virtually.
After signing up, participants are encouraged to download a mileage tracker mobile application on their mobile device. It is advised that the chosen application be able to share the miles accumulated with VARO Guam via email, as participants must show proof of completion of mileage. (Credentials will be shared at a later date.) All runners will receive a t-shirt and mask upon verification of shared (via email) total miles completed.

Proceeds generated from this event will help VARO Guam continue on with its mission: "to respond to all victims of violent crime and trauma, and to elevate the stature of women and children on our island, those most often victimized by physcial and sexual abuse." It is our hope that through our services of intervention, education, and awareness we will lessen the need for crisis intervention for future generations.
